    *the 48 hours residency requirement means that couples can get married in Antigua 2 days after arrival. One of these days must be a business day. In Antigua the day of arrival can be included in the residency period, but public holidays are not included.

    • Proof of single status via the Registrar Office in your area for bride & groom (not older than 6 months) and with an apostille/ legalization from Netherlands embassy or designated competent authority in your country of residence.

    • Original Birth Certificate with an Apostille/legalization from Netherlands embassy or designated competent authority in your country of residence for bride & groom in long/complete form only (not older than 1 year).

    • Original Divorce Decree with an Apostille/legalization from Netherlands embassy or designated competent authority in your country of residence, if applicable for bride & groom (not older than 6 months). Government / Administrative fee applies (if applicable).

    • Original Death Certificate with an Apostille/legalization from Netherlands embassy or designated competent authority in your country of residence, for either one or both of you are a widow/widower, you need to provide the relevant documents (death certificate), not older than 6 months (if applicable).

    • Residency requirement for symbolic ceremony: 48-hours*

    • Residency requirement for legal ceremony: 72-hours*

    • Administrative fee for symbolic ceremony: US$400.00

    • Marriage license and administrative fee for legal ceremony: US$750.00

    *the 48 hours (for symbolic ceremony) and 72 hours (for legal ceremony) residency requirement means that couples can get married in Curaçao 2 or 3 days after arrival. In Curaçao the day of arrival, weekends and public holidays are included in the residency period. The wedding day is not included in the residency period.

    Public holidays in Curaçao do not influence the earliest wedding day mentioned in the table above, as long as the wedding day is not a public holiday. No weddings on Sundays or public holidays.

    For legal weddings: all original documents must have an apostille/legalization from Netherlands embassy or designated competent authority in your country of residence at least 3 months prior, and no more than 6 months prior to your arrival date for wedding confirmation.

    For symbolic weddings: please upload a copy of valid country-issued passports or government-issued driver’s license for both parties at least 60 days prior to arrival; and hand carry a valid country-issued passports or government-issued driver’s license for both partners or marriers.

    • Original government issued birth certificate and passport.

    • Legal name changes or legal adoption papers (if applicable).

    • Sworn affidavit attesting that neither party has not been married before.

    • Sworn affidavit or letter from a clergyman, lawyer, registry or notary public attesting that neither party has not been previously married. Must be on letterhead with applicable notarization stamps, seals, etc.

    • Court certified final divorce decree (if applicable).

    • Government issued death certificates with related marriage certificates (if applicable).

    • Residency requirement (48 hours*)

    • Government / Administrative fee (US$535.00)

    *the 48 hours residency requirement means that couples can apply for a marriage license in Grenada 2 days after arrival (offsite, allow 1‐3 days for processing). In Grenada the day of arrival, weekends and public holidays are included in the residency period.

    Public holidays in Grenada do not influence the earliest wedding day mentioned in the table above. There’s a 48-hour express wedding option for an additional US$190.00 fee, residency period must include 1 business day. Example: Monday arrival can be married Wednesday after 12 PM.

    Final payment on wedding options is due sixty (60) days prior to arrival.

There’s a 48-hour express wedding option for an additional US$341.00 fee, residency period must include 2 business days (this includes day of arrival). Example: Monday arrival can be married Wednesday after 12 PM.

    Final payment on wedding options is due sixty (60) days prior to arrival.

    *the 48 hours residency requirement means that couples can get married in Saint Vincent 2 days after arrival. In Saint Vincent the day of arrival, weekends and public holidays are included in the residency period.

    • A marriage application, which you can get from the civil register office 

    • A certified copy of your birth certificate, translated into Spanish and Apostilled 

    • If you've been divorced, a certified copy of your divorce decree, translated into Spanish and Apostilled 

    • Valid passports and tourist cards for both you and your partner 

    • Witnesses

      You'll need four witnesses who are over 18, present at the ceremony, and have valid government-issued identification 

    • Health tests

      You'll need to get blood tests and, in some states, chest X-rays. The tests must be done in Mexico within a certain time frame of completing your marriage application.The blood tests check for HIV and syphilis, and the chest X-rays are an additional measure. 

    • Age

      You must be at least 18 years old to get married in Mexico without parental consent. If you're under 18, a parent must be present. 

    • Marriage license

      You'll need to pay the marriage license fee, which is about US\$30. 

    • Waiting period

      There's a waiting period after paying the license fee, which can range from 30 minutes to a few days. 

    In Mexico, only civil marriages are legally recognized. However, you can also get married in a church, but you'll need to pay additional fees and make other arrangements.
